Liverpool lost to Portsmouth in the FA Cup. Which means that Arsenal have an easier ride to the final. They should be able to handle Portsmouth without much trouble, which means a final with Manchester United is looking more and more likely.
I wonder what this means for Liverpool Manager Gerard Houllier. At some point the club is going to stop accepting such disappointing results. I think Houllier is good at Liverpool and it's just that players like Michael Owen are not performing up to the level they should be, but the club has slipped from England's third best team to somewhere near the lower middle and it's the manager that usually loses his job over results like this.
