The giant European football club FC Barcelona could be getting Apple as a sponsor, thus placing the Apple logo on the belly of hundreds of thousands of Spaniards across the globe. The translated news of the possible sponsorship is on the Cult of Mac Blog (link both at the top of this post and in the right side bar).

The past Saturday 20th of November during a soccer match between Barca and Real Madrid, (Apple's head of marketing) Philip Schiller and Marc Ingla met secretly in the offices of F.C. Barcelona.

Shiller (Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing) presented to Ingla (vice president of Marketing at F.C. Barcelona) supplies of a spectacular print of Apple's well-known symbol of the world on the Barca shirt. Apple will pay 22 million annual Euros, plus incentives and further promotions to the total of 27M.

The deal has excited the people of marketing at F.C. Barcelona, because it is an ideal mark for the sponsorship of the club. Just as much as the stamping of the logo on the shirt, as the slogan of company of Cupertino, 'Think Different.'

They also solve the problem that other logos generated with complicated combination of colors on the shirts, and fit with philosophy that "makes the club" of FC Barca.

This deal, to take shape, the company's logo will be added to the front of the F.C. Barcelona shirts and also that Apple's money they perceive by the sponsorship of his shirt, to be better than the highest at the moment, the Bayern Munich (Telekom) with 17M euros."
