I'm only hanging on to watch you go down

It's been awhile since I've posted and that's my bad.  Mainly I've been busy with school, work and various other projects.  Like right now I'm about to deal with a hobo.  How does dealing with hobos impact my abilitiy to blog?  Well it's hard to do when you're trying to make sure they don't hit you over the head with a stick and steal your wallet.

Now that he's left the store I can get down to the nitty gritty of blogging.

First off Duran Duran has given me Noise-Induced Hearing Loss.  According to the Google search I did on the terms "temporary hearing loss" and the website I found that's what I'm suffering from.  My left ear no longer hears so good, and I'm getting an on and off ringing in it which is pretty fucking annoying.

Impulse sound can result in immediate hearing loss that may be permanent. The structures of the inner ear may be severely damaged. This kind of hearing loss may be accompanied by tinnitus, a ringing, buzzing, or roaring in the ears or head, which may subside over time. Hearing loss and tinnitus may be experienced in one or both ears, and tinnitus may continue constantly or occasionally throughout a lifetime.

So yeah.  It's getting a bit better which is why I'm hoping it's temporary.  I plan to rest my ears tomorrow by wearing my big headphones with no music, thus blocking out all possible sound.  As it is I can't use the telephone on my left ear, and while I sort of can hear from it if someone is to the left of me I often miss what they're saying.

If it persists until Monday I'll make an appointment to see Graham's dad, who is my GP, and see what he can tell me about the situation.  Because frankly this is really a kick to the balls.  And for Duran Duran no less.
