Metrotown

Back in Kelowna we were always told how busy our Metrotown store was. It sounded like a cellular sales orgy. Phones were flying off the shelves like scarves at a Harry Potter Fan Convention.

Having moved down to Vancouver on Sunday and needing work I decided to start at Metrotown, because well I'm up for anything that can be described as an orgy.

Yesterday was my first day, and it was not a lot busier than Kelowna. There's more service work, but since the store has its own service centre its so that means those of us on the sales floor don't have to really deal with it.

I took the Skytrain to work today as part a dual attempt to keep in shape and fuck over the enviroment just a little less. It takes about 45 minutes to walk to the nearest terminal and then take the Skytrain to Metrotown. I could shave about fifteen minutes off of that if I took a bus to the station, but then that negates the getting in shape part of the deal.

Right now it's about time for lunch. One nice thing about working in the mall is that the selection of possible eating places has jumped from Boston Pizza or Subway to a huge amount of fast food and real resturants. It's an orgy of eateries, and we all love orgies.
