"You said I didn't give a fuck about hockey, I'd never heard someone say that before."

- Gord Dowie, the Tragically Hip "Fireworks"

Last night was the symphony of fire, or one night of it anyway. The Skytrain was packed after work with people streaming to Burrard station to march to English Bay.

I had a decent view of them from my window, though obscured by a few apartments, and I sat in the kitchen with the lights out snapping photographs which generally turned out blurry.

Afterwards I returned to researching hockey tickets. I'm looking at buying a 15 game ticket pack for the Canucks. This year, now that I'm on the coast I figure it's time to move them up to my second favorite team. At the very least I'm hoping to get to one or two Oilers versus Canucks games to cheer on the Oil.

Also Death Cab for Cutie, Nine Inch Nails and Oasis in the fall.
